Love is in the air on Sittingbourne High Street

Love is in the air on Sittingbourne High Street

Our beautifully decorated themed windows always share the love, but this Valentine's we wanted to share our love for being on Sittingbourne High Street.

Cadell from Studio Lockington has done it again! This Valentine’s, she has brought a heartfelt touch to our High Street with a stunning window display that celebrates the true heart of our town—Sittingbourne itself.

At Harrisons, we know just how special Sittingbourne is. Every day, we meet people who love living, working, and raising their families here. With a history that stretches back to Roman times, our town has always been a place of significance. It has even welcomed royal visitors and earned a mention in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales!

A Town on the Rise

Sittingbourne has seen significant regeneration in recent years, with improved shopping facilities, leisure amenities, and transport links making it even more appealing for commuters and families alike. The town centre boasts a mix of independent shops, well-known high-street brands, and a growing food scene, offering something for everyone right on their doorstep.

Beyond the bustling town centre, green spaces like Milton Creek Country Park provide scenic walking trails, a children’s play area, and a hub for community events. Nearby villages such as Borden and Tunstall offer idyllic countryside escapes. Families benefit from excellent local schools, and history lovers can dive into the town’s fascinating past at the Heritage Hub and the Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway.

The Beating Heart of Sittingbourne ❤️

But at the core of any small town is its High Street—it’s where the community gathers, where we shop, eat, create, and connect. It’s the backdrop for our carnivals, festivals, and seasonal displays. Despite the challenges faced by high streets across the country, ours remains vibrant, with a strong mix of independent businesses and national retailers keeping it alive and thriving.

So, when we thought about how we wanted to spread the love this Valentine’s Day, the message was clear—it had to be a love letter to our High Street.

Cadell has once again captured this sentiment beautifully. Her latest window display features classic love hearts and the heartfelt message:

"We love you... Sittingbourne High Street"

The display also includes iconic local buildings, such as Sittingbourne’s Baptist Church, which stands right opposite our office.

So, if you're sharing the love this Valentine’s Day, why not keep it local? Support the businesses that make our town unique, visit our High Street, and celebrate everything that makes Sittingbourne such a wonderful place to call home.

❤️ Happy Valentine’s from all of us at Harrisons! ❤️
