Harrisons Homes continue to support local charities

We are very proud to be able to continue to support children's bereavement charity, Holding On Letting Go. For every home we sell, we give £50 to charity, just look at how quickly it mounts up, nearly £10,000 in ten months. If you want an agent that gives something back, call 01795 474848

Following the first lockdown we ran a raffle to support a local children's bereavement charity that we had heard were doing some incredible work in our area, and they were facing an uncertain future due to the pandemic limiting how they were able to fundraise. When restrictions were lifted in June, we resolved support them further and pledged to donate £50 from every sale we completed on.

Ten months later, we have raised almost £10,000! If you would like to find out more about the work that Holding On Letting Go do, supporting children and families through some of the hardest times of their lives please visit www.holdingonlettinggo.org.uk. Buying your first home is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel overwhelming. With so much to consider—budgets, mortgages, legal paperwork, and finding the right property—it’s easy to feel lost in the process. This guide outlines the key things every first-time buyer should know before taking that first step onto the property ladder.

Selling your home is more than just a transaction—it's a significant life milestone. At Harrison's Homes, we understand that every move is unique, whether you're downsizing, relocating, or embarking on a fresh start. Since the 1980s, we've helped thousands of clients achieve their property goals, and we're here to guide you every step of the way.

If your letting agent isn’t delivering, you don’t have to stay stuck. Switching agents is easier than many landlords realise and could protect your investment long-term. Here’s how the process works, and why September is the perfect time to act.

If you're selling your home, one important step you’ll encounter is the home survey — often referred to as a property survey or valuation survey. While it’s typically arranged by the buyer, it can feel a little daunting for sellers who aren’t sure what to expect.
